Consistent energy is something I really struggle with. I need a lot more rest than the average bear. Resting can be guilt-inducing, challenging and even boring. But I’m trying to get better at honouring how much I need it.

Here’s everything I loved in March:
♠️ A fascinating alternative perspective about work-rest balance from Jamie Varon. As a fidgety motor-mouth, this idea spoke to me:
“I need to spend my energy every week. I need it to exist outside of me, instead of making trouble inside of me.”
♠️ I’ve never loved the idea of discipline, but approaching wellness with curiosity and discernment? That’s something I can get behind
“…this time I was actively choosing my sleep and my sense of peace in my body, because drinking was messing with my stress hormones. I finally wanted be a loving student of my own body, not a master over it.”

♠️ My current music obsession is Searows. He’s such a patient, restful singer. If you like Phoebe Bridgers or indie folk of any flavour, I think you’ll like this. (PS - I have a Spotify full of tracks like this called the Wind Down)
♠️ I know time doesn’t heal all wounds, but we definitely need to take the time to heal.
